The Olympic Peninsula is a fly fishing
paradise. The rivers of the West End near Forks are well known
for their runs of steelhead (winter-run and summer-run) and salmon
(chinook and coho). The coastal rivers also offer outstanding
fly fishing for resident trout and sea-run cutthroat. There
are also freshwater fly fishing opportunities in Olympic National
Park for resident trout in rivers and lakes.

Besides the great freshwater fishing, the Olympic
Peninsula offers outstanding saltwater fly fishing opportunities.
From the offshore salmon in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Pacific
Ocean to the sea-run cutthroat and salmon along the beaches in Hood
Canal, the Olympic Peninsula offers the finest saltwater fly fishing
in Washington State. |
