Classes and Clinics
We host a variety of different classes and clinics throughout the year. We have very diverse fishing seasons out here on the Olympic Peninsula so our classes and clinics change accordingly. In wintertime most of our classes are steelhead oriented, Fall is salmon and Summer is a bit of everything.
Fishing Classes focus on where the fish will be, how to present the fly in different conditions, and general demystification of fly fishing on the Olympic Peninsula rivers.
Tying Classes are geared towards teaching skill sets and techniques that can be used widely and built upon, while producing a fly that will catch fish on our local rivers.
BEGINNERS CASTING AND FISHING CLASS
June 11, 2016
Come enjoy an evening with the crew from Waters West learning the basics of fly fishing. This half day, crash course will take place at a local pond, and will jump start you into this life-long sport. We will be putting heavy emphasis on casting, line control and presentation. All rods, reels, flies, and other essential equipment will be provided, and students should have a good chance at catching fish.
